There are many fantastic attractions within the Association of Science-Technology Centers or ASTC network. You can get free admission when you travel outside of your local area to other institutes participating in the program. You will need to bring your ID and your membership card with you to get into the attraction for free.
With all the ASTC offers, you will want to learn more about the places you can enjoy with your children. Below you will find a few examples of the incredible opportunities that await your memberships with ASTC. To learn more read, below.
Museum of Discovery
Located in Little Rock, Arkansas, this incredible museum will allow two adults and up to three children from the same household to enjoy a day of exploring. For a reduced rate of $5.00 each as long as one person is listed on the membership card.
Chabot Space & Science Center
With your ASTC passport, two adults and up to four children can get into the attraction for a day of fun. Located in Oakland, California, this wonderful space and science center will awe your family while you learn and explore space for the day.
US Space & Rocket Center
The US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, will grant free admission to one adult and up to two children free with membership to ASTC. However, you can only go to their general, and traveling exhibits are and the public simulators. If you wish to attend the Intuitive Planetarium and the National Geographic Theater, it does cost extra.
Natural History Museum of Los Angelos County
The Natural History Museum of Los Angelos County will allow two adults and up to four children admittance and includes the La Brea Tar Pits and the museum. You will need to prove where you live because you must be at least ninety miles from your residence to qualify.
San Diego Natural History Museum
The San Diego Natural History Museum allows two adults and children under eighteen to spend the day exploring. However, it does not include 3-D films, and if you want to watch those, it does cost $5 per person.
Owensboro Museum of Science and History
Located in Owensboro, Kentucky, the Owensboro Museum of Science and History will allow ASTC members free admission to the exhibit hall for a family of six. You will need a photo ID and proof of membership. You will also qualify for a 10% discount at the gift shop for museum purchases.
Saint Louis Science Center
Located in St Louis, Mousorri, this fantastic museum offers free admittance. It allows free parking with a valid membership and six free tickets to a Discovery Room session or a planetarium show. Members can also receive dollar-off access to see the OMNIMAX theater and special exhibits that are there.
Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Discovery World is a great place to spend the day with your family exploring. Members can get two adults and their children under seventeen for free. IF you have more than six members in your family, regular rates apply for the rest of the group. You will need to provide proof of your residence to verify you live more than ninety miles from Discovery World.
Catawba Science Center
Located in Hickory, North Carolina, the Catawba Science Center is an excellent place to explore the day with your family. With your membership to ASTC, you can get free general admission for up to two adults members and their children under the age of eighteen who live in the same home. Special programs and events are excluded. You will need to provide proof of your residence.
Mount Washington Observatory
The Mount Washington Observatory located in Conway, New Hampshire, will allow two adults and up to four children six and over into the observatory for free. Children under six are always free. You will have admittance to the Extreme Mount Washington Museum in the Mt. Washington State Park, but it does not include weather station tours.
Coca-Cola Space Center Center
Located in Columbus, Georgia, the Coca-Cola Space Science Center offers a fun day of exploration. Members can gain free access to the exhibit gallery for up to four people. You may also get $tickets to the Omnisphere theater for $3 for adults and $2 for children.
Cernan Earth and Space Center at Triton College
They are located in River Grove, Illinois. The Cernan Earth and Space Center at Triton College offers free planetarium admission for up to four members of the same family membership to the ASTC. All other family members over four will get to pay the youth price. Members also can get up to 10% off purchases from Star Store except for autographed books.
